I am not usually inclined to buying skincare products found at your local CVS or Target, but that doesn’t mean there are not brands out there that are worth making exceptions for. I decided to dip my toes in the RoC pond. I have seen many magazine articles lauding one product of theirs in particular, the RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream.
I also purchased the RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream. I would say if you are a first time user of Retin-A (which refers to the Vitamin A molecule) or it’s derivatives, such as retinol, this is a great place to start. Whatever your skin type I found it to be effective without irritation or any severe flaking of the skin which is a common side effect to using Retin-A. In my “Why series…” I plan on discussing Retin-A in more depth as to its uses, why it is good for your skin and what it does.
The results from using the products were favorable, but as far as any deep wrinkle repair, I would say it isn’t strong enough for that. My smile lines and frown lines are still as prominent as before, however my skin and more fine lines did soften. I would definitely like to try a few more of their products given the price point is so affordable. One would be RoC Retinol Correxion Max Wrinkle Resurfacing System. So if you’re a newcomer to Retin-A or any of it’s derivatives and would like to give it a try to see how your skin would react, this is a good place to start.
Have you tried any retain-a or retinol products that changed your skin dramatically?
