My “try outs” always consist of deluxe or regular sample sizes. I get so many with my orders or because I specifically want to try out a product before purchasing the full size. This month had a few stand outs that I will definitely purchase the full size, if I haven’t already.
Cadualíe Instant Detox Mask
I have oily, acne-prone skin so I lean towards clay masks more often than not. I’ve tried a lot over the last 20 years, from drugstore to high end. Caudalíe’s detox mask did not disappoint. It’s not a thick clay mask, which I liked. It has a salmon-colored pigment due to the pink clay as one of its ingredients. If you have skin on the drier side, but still want to use a clay mask to detox, this is a great mask for you also. It does not leave your skin feeling stripped and tight. TIP: For all clay masks, or any mask that dries down, pat a warm face cloth to soften before removing it so you’re not pulling at your skin. Also, don’t leave the mask on for longer than 10-15 minutes, unless suggested, to avoid drying out your skin.
Kate Somerville Age Arrest Anti-Wrinkle Cream
I’ve had Kate Somerville on my list of brands to try for a few years. I’ve just started using a few products, the first one of which was the popular Exfolikate, which I always repurchase. The Age Arrest is a beautiful, full-bodied cream. Even though I have oily skin, I prefer a creamy moisturizer. I will purchase this and use it in my KS routine when I finally get the chance to use the whole line together.
Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads
I first saw these when Caroline Hirons posted them on Instagram. I immediately ordered a package to try them out myself. I needed to add an acid step into my routine to give my skin a deeper exfoliation during the week. You use these nightly, which I liked because it allows the serums and moisturizers you use to reach deeper into your skin. I loved these, and are also another repurchase for me. I’ve tried others, but I felt these were the most effective. These really got me curious about the entire range. I have a feeling it’s really good. I keep hearing great things about it and from what I sampled this is a brand worth trying out.
belief The True Cream-Aqua Bomb
I always recommend this cream to people, I love it. It’s affordable and really effective. It has a cushiony, silky texture to it. It won me over the first time I used it. I really feel any skin type could use this even though it’s for hydration. Dry, combo or oily can all benefit from a good hydration boost. It’s part of the K-beauty trend that has taken over (in a good way). If you’re looking for a new daily moisturizer and want something nourishing, definitely check this out.
Living proof Restore Mask Treatment
Since I get a great professional discount on so many brands, I found it hard to purchase these full price. This product is absolutely worth it. My hair texture is fried, dry and coarse from all the years of color treating it and getting it blonde, blonde and blonder. My hair was in need of a major rescue. I would use this once a week and treat my ends from time to time on dry hair when I felt it needed it. Although I also used the shampoo and conditioner from the “Restore” line, I prefer the “No Frizz” instead. This mask however is a standout.
