All About Samples And How to Get Them

Who doesn’t love a good bunch of samples? I have become a sample hoarder.  I have enough that I can actually box them up into three different categories:

  • cleansers
  • moisturizers/eye creams
  • masks

From the various monthly beauty boxes I was subscribed to, to my many Sephora orders and purchasing some on Poshmark and eBay I have crafted quite a collection.  Here are some of my tricks to getting samples (good sized ones too).

Why AHA’s

What are they? What do they do? Why do I need them? All great questions with easy answers.  AHA’s or Alpha Hydroxy Acids are natural acids that are derived from food and plants.  They sound like something a chemist created in a lab, but some are actually found in things we can eat.  Here are a few:

  • Citric (found in citrus fruits)
  • Glycolic (found in sugar cane)
  • Lactic (found in sour milk)
  • Malic (found in apples)
  • Tartaric (found in grapes)
